The Story Behind the Craft

My journey began in 2014, shortly after I graduated from the Fashion program at Fanshawe College. I was ready to take on the world of fashion, but life had other plans. I became pregnant with my son, Rysen, and soon found myself a single mom. With a baby who slept soundly by 7 pm every night, I needed something to fill my evenings. That’s when I turned to my enduring passion for fashion and began creating jewellery in my spare time.

Rysen Rose Designs

Birth of a Brand

What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into something more. My handcrafted pieces, born from quiet nights and inspired moments, resonated with people. Rysen Rose Designs was soon born, named after my son, Rysen, and a middle name, Rose, shared by both my mother and me.

Even during a long break to focus on recovery, Rysen Rose Designs maintained a small online presence and could still be found in select stores. In 2016, I was honoured to speak at Entrepreneur Week at my alma mater, sharing my journey and insights with fellow fashion enthusiasts.

Celebrating Style and Sustainability

My handcrafted jewellery is cherished by customers in the US and Canada who value both style and sustainability. I invite you to join the Rysen Rose community, where we celebrate beautifully crafted jewellery and the stories behind them.
